CSF's high-performance engine oil cooler for the BMW S55 engine, found in the F80 M3, F82 M4 and F87 M2 Competition, help to keep oil temperatures consistently lower than the factory oil cooler. This is because your factory oil cooler was designed for standard power levels and expected type of use, as soon as you go outside of the factory power levels and expected type of use, your factory oil cooler will begin to struggle. As well as this, as your oil cooler goes through its life the core will deteriorate externally as well as fill with contaminates internally to reduce its cooling power.
