KW Suspensions: Handling Control

At Kitsune, we approach suspension as a component that delivers a specific result: stability, traction, predictability, and handling consistency.

If you want your car to drive better – and not just “differently” – we do it as a complete package: selection, reasonable working height, geometry and corrections to suit your driving style.

KW Suspensions: Kontrola prowadzenia

If a car needs to ride reliably, predictably, and consistently, suspension is no longer just a "looks-on" addition. It becomes the foundation of the entire setup. You can quickly add power. Control over the body, traction, and tire performance is built from the bottom up: shock absorber, spring, ride height, travel, and geometry.

KW Suspensions is the brand of choice when the stage of casual modifications ends and the stage of conscious driving begins. These suspensions are designed to perform in real-world use: from daily to sporty and track-day driving.

The most important facts about KW (without marketing)

KW is a German manufacturer developing road suspension and motorsport solutions.

A characteristic feature of many sets is the inox-line concept – solutions focused on corrosion resistance and durability of height adjustment.

The product lines are logically divided: from "set and go" kits to versions with more adjustable damping for conscious car tuning.

In the world of performance, KW is popular not because it "looks nice", but because it provides a predictable driving experience - and that's crucial when a car has to make pace, not just noise.

What really makes a difference with good suspension

A well-tuned coilover isn't about lowering the car. It's about making the car feel more cohesive:

More stable in a fast curve : less floating, fewer nervous steering corrections.

More confident braking : less dive, better front grip.

Better traction on exit : easier to open the throttle earlier without fighting the rear.

More control over bumps : the wheel works, not bounces.

Repeatability : the car behaves similarly in longer, dynamic driving – not just for the first kilometer.

These are differences you feel not only on the track. On the road as well—especially when you're going faster, on poorer asphalt, with a load, or with a wider tire.

inox-line: a detail that is appreciated after the season

In theory, each "thread" is adjustable. In practice, adjustment after winter and several months of driving is the best test of quality.

Stuck rings, corrosion, and inability to adjust height—these are classic issues with budget-friendly solutions. That's why stainless steel (corrosion resistance and durability of adjustment elements) is one of KW's real arguments for "long-term" performance, not "on the day of installation."

Variant 1 / Variant 2 / Variant 3 — how to understand it in human terms

KW typically offers three main "Variant" lines. They differ in how much control you have over damping and how much you can tailor the suspension to your driving style.

KW Variant 1 (V1) - when you want effect and peace of mind

This is a choice for people who want to:

improve the lead over the series,

set a reasonable height,

don't mess around with clicking and tuning.

V1 is logical if the car is to be driven every day, but it is also intended to be more compact and predictable.

KW Variant 2 (V2) - when you want to match the "character" of your car

V2 adds adjustability that allows you to truly change the ride feel. It's a good choice when:

you drive dynamically and want to adjust the car to your needs,

you change the wheels/tires (and this changes the car's behavior),

you want to be able to make corrections without going into advanced motorsport.

KW Variant 3 (V3) - when balance and tempo consistency matter

V3 is an option for people who want to consciously tune their car for:

fast road,

dynamic driving,

track day.

This is where the topic of independent damping and front-rear balance adjustments comes up most often. V3 makes sense when you want not just "better," but specifically: "for the car to behave exactly how I need it."

DDC and Street Comfort - for those who want a daily without compromise

Not everyone wants to do it tough. And rightly so.

There are KW solutions aimed at people who:

they want everyday comfort,

but they still want better control and handling quality,

and sometimes they want to retain the character of the adaptive suspension and driving modes.

This approach makes sense in cars that do a lot of mileage and are also meant to be fun on the weekend.

The most common error after installation: "I created a KW and the topic is closed"

This is the easiest way to disappointment.

Suspension is a tool. The result is a process:

working height (so that the car does not ride on the bumpers),

stroke and real operation of the shock absorber,

geometry (camber/toe/caster) for the tire and driving style,

front-back balance,

test and corrections.

Without this, even the best suspension can give the effect of "it's harder" instead of "it's faster and more reliable".

How to choose KW so that it makes sense

If you want to avoid guessing, three questions do 80% of the work:

What do you use your car for?
Daily/fast road/trackday/mix.

What wheel and tire are you riding (or will you be riding)?
This changes the requirements and balance of the car.

What do you look forward to most?
Comfort, control, precision, stability at speed, repeatability on the track.

Only then are the line and adjustment range selected.
